An overview of the events surrounding the Oct. 18 inauguration of Connie Ledoux Book as Elon's ninth president.
The university community is invited to gather in Schar Center today as Elon celebrates the inauguration of the ninth president in its 129-year history — Connie Ledoux Book.
The traditional ceremony to celebrate a new university president will bring together current students, faculty and staff along with scores of alumni, community leaders and higher education representatives.

Following the 3 p.m. ceremony, all are invited to a campuswide celebration in the Great Hall of the Global Commons building and the surrounding plaza. The celebration will include refreshments and a performance by the Elon Music Ambassadors.
