Eleven Martha and Spencer Love School of Business students were initiated into Elon’s Lambda Xi chapter of Beta Alpha Psi (BAP), the international honor organization for financial information students and professionals during a Feb. 5 ceremony.
BAP initiates have met the requirements for both service and attendance at professional meetings as well as maintained an overall 3.0 GPA with a 3.0 minimum in an upper-level accounting or finance class. The chapter requires six hours of service within BAP and two hours outside of BAP per semester.
The chapter holds weekly meetings with guest speakers to provide insight into members’ potential industry or firm. Past guest speakers have included representatives from PwC, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, Lincoln Financial, RSM and Grant Thornton. The chapter will host the annual Accounting Meet and Greet in fall 2019 to connect employers with Elon talent.
