Nominations for SGA's Leo M. Lambert Awards due TODAY

The Student Government Association's 24th annual awards ceremony to recognize outstanding student organizations and leaders will be held on Tuesday, March 19. 

Nominations for this year’s Dr. Leo M. Lambert Awards from the Student Government Association is Wednesday, March 6, at 5 p.m.

The annual SGA awards designed to honor outstanding student organizations and leaders for their service to their organizations and the university is now in its 24th year. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Tuesday, March 19, at 5 p.m. in the Lakeside Meeting Rooms. 

Awards offered this year are: 

Outstanding New Student Organization (Student Organizations Only)

McBride Award for Campus and Greater Community Involvement (Student Organizations Only)

Highest GPA (Student Organizations and University Programs)

Student Organization of the Year (Under 30 members – Student Organizations Only)

Student Organization of the Year (Over 30 members -Student Organizations Only)

University Program of the Year (University Programs Only)

Student Organization/Program Committee of the Year (Student Organizations Only)

Awards for Faculty or Staff Sponsors & Advisors

Barbara H. Carlton Outstanding Advisor of the Year

Dr. Gerald Francis Outstanding Faculty Member of the Year

Brian O’Shea Outstanding Service to Students Award

Awards for Individual Student Organization Members

Student Organization Member of the Year

Student Organization Officer of the Year 

Student Organization Newcomer of the Year

G. Smith Jackson Award for Outstanding Student Mentorship

Dr. J. Earl Danieley Leadership Award (2)
