The Charlotte alumni chapter hosted its annual Elon Day party with a big crowd
Along with 37 other Elon Alumni Chapters, the Charlotte Alumni Chapter celebrated Elon Day 2019 with a lot of excitement and people at its annual Elon Day Party. The chapter's party was held at Brewers, which was a great space for the group. The event served as a wonderful opportunity for alumni to reconnect, make their gift and celebrate their alma mater together.
Theresa Gilligan '16, Charlotte Chapter's president, spoke highly of the event and guests. "Our Elon Day event always has such a different feel from the rest of our events," she said. "Alumni are more social, and more likely to talk to someone they didn't already know. In the past, we've tried to focus Elon Day around activities, but this year we didn't. It was really cool to see over 70 alumni from different times and networks all sitting around a few large tables, talking, laughing and connecting!"
Elon Day included 38 Elon Day parties held by each of the 38 regional alumni chapters around the world. Furthermore, each party held giving opportunties for guests to continue to make an impact. The special day set new records of philanthropy by raising $2,385,629 from 6,376 gifts.
Thank you to the Charlottealumni and friends who came out and contributed to the record-breaking success of Elon Day 2019!
