The Washington, D.C. alumni chapter hosted its annual Elon Day party with a big crowd.
Along with 37 other Elon Alumni Chapters, the Washington, D.C. Alumni Chapter celebrated Elon Day 2019 with a lot of excitement and people at its annual Elon Day Party on March 5. The chapter's party was held at the Mission Navy Yard, which proved to be a great space for the group. The event served as a wonderful opportunity for alumni to reconnect, make their gifts and celebrate their alma mater together.
Claire Thiedke '16, D.C. chapter's board member, spoke highly of the event and guests. "Elon Day in D.C. was a huge success! It was wonderful to see everyone from all different graduation years come together and celebrate Elon. It was especially fun for the Class of 2018 to see that Elon Day is just as exciting in the real world as it is on campus. As always, we are already looking forward to the next Elon in D.C. event to get everyone together!"
Elon Day included Elon Day parties held by each of the 38 regional alumni chapters around the world. Furthermore, each party held giving opportunties for guests to continue to make an impact. The special day set new records of philanthropy by raising $2,385,629 from 6,376 gifts.
Thank you to the D.C. area alumni and friends who came out and contributed to the record-breaking success of Elon Day 2019!
