The Center for Engaged Learning (CEL) has many resources related to the high-impact practice of Students as Partners (SaP). SaP implies students and faculty/academic staff working in collaboration, as partners, to improve teaching and learning experiences (Mercer-Mapstone et al., 2017).
CEL’s website has videos dedicated to discussing SaP, including why students and faculty should be involved in innovating teaching and learning practices and scholarship, and best practices to do so. You can also read about best practices for the high-impact practice on the SaP webpage, which presents the values that support the practice.
You can also find specific model programs of Students as Partners in higher education, as well as key scholarship for reference. The webpage also discusses emerging questions about SaP related to research, practice, and theory, because student-faculty partnership is a relatively new practice in higher education.
CEL posts weekly blog posts that feature topics such as Students as Partners, written by CEL Scholar, Ketevan Kupatadze, and graduate apprentice, Sophia Abbot, as well as other scholars. To keep up to date with new blog posts and videos, follow CEL’s social media accounts including Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
