Actor Dan Butler and professional acting coach Richard Waterhouse will visit Elon April 12-14 to teach a three-day film acting workshop to a small group of Music Theatre majors.
Dan Butler, who is best known for his work as Bob "Bulldog" Briscoe on the TV series "Frasier," along with his partner Richard Waterhouse, a faculty member at Brown University, will be teaching a master class to 20 students in Elon’s Music Theatre program April 12-14.
The workshop will teach students the tools necessary to adapt their skills for acting on camera, allowing the students to become more versatile in the demanding entertainment industry. The 20 participants have been given scenes that will best highlight the specific challenges facing each actor.
During the course of the three-day workshop, students will work on their scenes twice with Butler and Waterhouse, each time with an emphasis on different aspects of the technique.
