Broadway actor to teach masterclass to Music Theatre students

On Friday, May 10, actor Erik Liberman will be on campus to work with students in Elon’s Music Theatre program.

Erik Liberman, known for originating roles in several on and off-Broadway productions as well as in film and television, will be conducting a masterclass for the Music Theatre program on Friday, May 10.

Eight lucky students will have the chance to work with him one-on-one, focusing specifically on audition technique. The class will also include a Q & A session with the entire program. In addition, Liberman will be working with the senior class on presence and ensemble-building.

When he’s not performing, Liberman has been working on a book about the late Hollywood actress Jayne Mansfield. While he is in town, he will be conducting research on Mansfield’s days of performing in Greensboro at the Plantation Supper Club in the 1960s.
