Ann Bullock, dean of the Elon University School of Education, has been reappointed to the North Carolina Professional Educator Preparation and Standards Commission (PEPSC).
PEPSC was created on Sept. 1, 2017, to serve as an advising body to the North Carolina State Board of Education. It operates independently of the State Board of Education to involve stakeholders in establishing high standards for state educators and make rule recommendations regarding all aspects of preparation, licensure, continuing education and standards of conduct for public school educators.
“I am honored to represent Elon University as a member of this Commission," Bullock said. "Educators are an important part of the future of our great state, and I look forward to working on all aspects related to educator preparation with my colleagues from across North Carolina.”
Bullock currently serves as the secretary of the commission. Her new term runs from Sept. 1 through Aug. 31, 2021.
