The Black Law Students Association leads a series of programs from Sept. 16-20 to encourage students of color - both those already at Elon Law and those considering law school - to find mentors, develop networks, and learn of available resources for achieving academic and professional success.
Elon Law’s Black Law Students Association has organized a week of programs in downtown Greensboro, with an additional event in Raleigh, to support and encourage students of color at various points in their legal education.

Monday, September 16: Black Lawyers Matter Panel

A panel of attorneys coming from firms such as Brooks Pierce, Fox Rothschild, Kilpatrick Townsend, and Womble Bond Dickinson will discuss their experiences navigating the profession as a minority. Food is provided.
Tuesday, September 17: Student Outreach Panel
6-8 p.m.
Room 206
This student panel aimed toward undergraduate students considering law school will share tips on the application process. 1L students are also invited to ask upper-level students for tips on navigating their first year of law school. Food is provided.
Wednesday, September 18: Game Day in the Commons
12:30 p.m.
Cemala Foundation Commons
During the lunch hour BLSA will be hosting a game day open to everyone in the commons! Trivia/Jeopardy! style competitions will give participants a chance to win prizes such as Amazon gift cards. Come join the fun!
Wednesday, September 18: NCBA Minorities in the Profession Networking Social
5:30-7:30 p.m.
Campbell Law School in downtown Raleigh
BLSA encourages all students, especially 1Ls, to attend this networking social in Raleigh. The NCBA MIP Program provides summer internship opportunities and the networking social is the perfect event to start connecting with those attorneys.
Friday, September 20: POC Alumni Mixer

Elm Street Lounge (115 S. Elm Street, Greensboro)
BLSA has teamed up with Hispanic/Latinx Law Students Association to host a POC alumni mixer. This event is located downtown and will give current students an opportunity to network with alumni. The Elon Black Alumni Network is sponsoring the evening and may provide Elon gear and other goodies to those in attendance. This event will also “pass the torch” to HLLSA as they will have events planned for Hispanic Heritage Month. Come out and enjoy a night of cocktails and conversation as BLSA week comes to an end!
