At the annual meeting of the international honor organization, Love School of Business Dean Raghu Tadepalli received the 2019 Beta Alpha Psi Outstanding Dean Award and the chapter received “Superior” honors.
Elon’s Lambda Xi chapter of Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) was recognized as a “superior chapter” at the international honor organization’s 2019 annual meeting held Aug. 8-10 in Chicago.
The event was a celebration of the 100th anniversary of BAP and drew more than 1,000 participants from all over the United States plus Australia and New Zealand.
At the meeting, Raghu Tadepalli, dean of the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, was recognized as the 2019 Beta Alpha Psi Outstanding Dean. Dean Eric Jack of the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Collat School of Business presented the award to Tadepalli, noting Tadepalli’s outstanding leadership of the Love School of Business, support of the Lambda Xi chapter and genuine concern for business students.
Elon’s chapter was represented by seniors Isabella Santelia and Natalia Atwal and Patty Cox, assistant professor of accounting and BAP faculty advisor. Santelia and Atwal presented in the “Roots” category for Best Practices, describing what the Lambda Xi chapter has done to foster lifelong ethical, social and public responsibility among its members and how they have successfully furthered that message through online platforms.
The students also participated in the annual service day project and attended sessions for professional growth and improving the chapter.
