The Elon community is invited to contribute to a set of Phoenix wings to demonstrate how the university has lifted them up.
Members of the Elon University community will soon have an opportunity to share how the university has helped them soar.
During the next week, Elon students, faculty, staff and alumni on campus can adorn an expansive set of wings with “Phoenix feathers” containing stories of how the university has helped lift them up during their lives.
Beginning Monday, Oct. 28, the wings will hang in the first floor of the Moseley Center and the campus community is invited to sketch, paint or write about their Elon. They can then take a picture of themselves in front of the wings and share it on social media using the hashtag #ELONSOARS.
With the arrival of Homecoming & Reunion Weekend 2019, the wings will be moved outside to the plaza between Lakeside Dining Hall and Lake Mary Nell to offer the thousands of Elon alumni and family members the opportunity to contribute their own “Phoenix feather.” In the case of bad weather, the wings will remain in Moseley Center.
Stop by to share your own story, capture a selfie and show the world how Elon has helped you soar through the years.
