An article by AVTechnology features Elon student Connor Bright '20 and his emerging career as a systems integration engineer at SentryOne before graduating.
Connor Bright ’20 was featured in a recent article by audio visual news source AVTechnology, highlighting his work as a systems integration engineer all while completing his final semester at Elon.
In the article, Bright discusses his passion for his work at SentryOne, the Charlotte, North Carolina-based company where he will become a full-time employee in February.
“I have always been interested in emerging and leading technologies, and how technology can make a meaningful impact on people’s experiences,” he said. “The drive for me has always been to make a difference in the experience of users, and seeing positive reactions encourages me.”
SentryOne provides database performance monitoring and data DevOps solutions for the Microsoft Data Platform. In his role as systems integration engineer, Bright oversees AV and collaboration systems for the company.
The AVTechnology article outlines Bright’s path to SentryOne, including landing an internship with the company the summer after he graduated from Providence Day School in Charlotte. It also describes Bright’s role in developing the technology structure for SentryOne’s new 35,000-square-foot office.
“Over the past few years, I can definitely tell that I have earned the trust of my colleagues and leaders at the company,” he said. “While I recognize it is a pretty unusual circumstance for someone so young and still in school to take on such a meaningful role, I know that the projects I’ve been a part of have benefitted both myself and the company.”
