Elon MBA program ranks among best in the country

In its annual rankings of on-campus MBA programs, The Princeton Review listed Elon's Martha and Spencer Love School of Business as one of the best business schools for 2020.

The Princeton Review has ranked the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business as one of the best business schools for 2020 based upon the quality of its on-campus MBA program.

The Princeton Review’s annual guide of top graduate business programs draws data from surveys of students and administrators at nearly 250 schools around the country, touching on subjects such as academics, the student body, campus life and career plans.

“We commend these schools for their outstanding MBA programs, each of which has stellar academic offerings as well as on-campus and off-campus experiential components,” said Robert Franek, The Princeton Review’s editor-in-chief.

The Best Business Schools list includes profiles of each school with write-ups on their academics, career placement, student life and environment, and admissions. In the profile on Elon, The Princeton Review editors wrote the following, including quotes from Elon students:

Elon University’s Martha and Spencer Love School of Business has a “great reputation” as “a specialized MBA for full-time working professionals.” Students praise Elon’s “leadership philosophy,” “learning culture,” and “great program flexibility.” A small university in a small town, Elon offers “small class and program size” in which the “average class is fifteen, and large classes are thirty.” Elon focuses “on engaged learning, top quality of content taught, [and] values-based leadership. . . . It’s why their reputation is growing so rapidly,” one student notes.

The professors are “open with their time and always willing to meet outside of class,” and most of them “have over twenty years experience in their fields.” Professors bring this “real business experience” to class, and courses themselves are “largely current event and real world driven.” Professors “offer challenging work, but are also always there to help.”

The Martha and Spencer Love School of Business is accredited by AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business — the premier accrediting agency for bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs in accounting, management and business administration.
