The Elon community is invited to gather to watch the January Democratic primary debate co-hosted by CNN and the Des Moines Register.
The following candidates are expected to participate:
- Former Vice President Joe Biden
- Former South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg
- Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-Minnesota)
- Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont)
- Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Massachusetts)
The Active Citizen Series is designed to cultivate the next generation of informed leaders who will help strengthen communities and shape our democracy. This event will allow students to gain a deeper understanding of how government works and to develop the necessary skills to engage in civil discourse across political divides.
