Farnam was quoted by Greensboro, North Carolina, CBS affiliate WFMY News 2 in “VITA provides free income tax help to those who qualify.”
The story highlights the United Way of Alamance County’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, which offers free tax-filing assistance to local qualified families in the area. The program is the result of a partnership between the United Way, local schools, volunteers and the IRS and offers families free tax assistance from IRS-trained volunteers like Farnam.
“They’re saving so much money by having us prepare it for them which is really cool. It’s a good feeling,” Farnam told WFMY.
