More than 150 risk management and campus recreation professionals from across the country participated in the roundtable.
Assistant Vice President for Administrative Services Chris Fulkerson, Director of Campus Recreation and Wellness Larry Mellinger and Assistant Director of Administrative Services Meg Fisher shared Elon’s best practices in risk management and campus recreation during the COVID-19 pandemic in a virtual roundtable discussion on May 26, 2020.
Co-hosted by National Intramural and Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) and University Risk Management and Insurance Association (URMIA), the roundtable was presented as part of NIRSA’s “Ideas in Motion” series, which creates an open forum for campus recreation professionals to stay connected and share ideas about the future of campus recreation and wellness during a pandemic event.
More than 150 risk management and campus recreation professionals from across the country participated in the roundtable, focusing on the implementation of holistic risk management in campus recreation and wellness, mitigation strategies for managing exposure on sports teams and in facilities, and innovative pathways for continuing programming.
