The assistant professor of strategic communications is set to join industry professionals Ron Culp and Diana Martinelli on a Wednesday, July 29, panel to discuss PR curriculum in remote environments.
Denise Hill, assistant professor of strategic communications, will participate in a Facebook Live panel hosted by The Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations on Wednesday, July 29. The live summer session, which begins at 1 p.m., will focus on ways that educators can maintain the value of public relations curriculum in a remote environment.
The Plank Center, a leading resource in public relations through the University of Alabama, provides resources, content and leadership in the public relations industry. The center is focused on providing webinar sessions aimed at discussion of current industry topics.
In addition to Hill, fellow panelists include Ron Culp of DePaul University and Diana Martinelli of West Virginia University. Mark Harris, a global communications adviser at Xero, is set to moderate the panel.
Hill, who was recently promoted to associate professor and granted tenure, effective fall 2020, has more than 30 years of professional experience with corporate communications and public relations agencies. She has held the position of vice president of communications for various companies, including Delhaize America, Cigna, Novartis Pharmaceuticals and Quest Diagnostics.
