Elon families are invited to a reimagined Family Weekend, as the university hosts the first-ever virtual Family Fall 2020, beginning Sept. 29.
Elon’s Family Weekend tradition has taken on a new form this fall, as physical distancing requirements are still in place, but parents will still have a chance to reconnect with their students and the campus community during the reimagined, virtual experience “Family Fall: More Than a Weekend.”
Family Fall will include a variety of events to help families explore campus alongside their students and connect with faculty, staff and other Elon families. The schedule for Family Fall 2020 was officially released on Wednesday.
The festivities will commence with the College Coffee Catch-up on Sept. 29. The event will allow families to participate in one of the university’s oldest and most appreciated traditions, College Coffee. It’s a chance for families to have virtual discussions with their students and other members of the Elon community over a cup of coffee or their favorite snack. Participating families will receive College Coffee Catch-up discussion prompts to help guide the conversation.
Family Fall 2020 continues through Nov. 11 with a number of events for all interests. Families will hear a university update from President Connie Ledoux Book, they can also take part in a “Coffees with the Deans” series, a concert and all sorts of other entertainment throughout the event. Find the full Family Fall schedule and register for upcoming events here.
Families can also show their Elon pride throughout Family Fall 2020 with a Family Fun Pack, containing a garden flag, window clings, postcards and more. Purchase the Family Fun Pack here.
