Members of the campus community are invited to submit questions for online discussions with senior university administrators.
The third and final online town hall meeting with senior university administrators will be held on Friday, Oct. 9. The discussion will begin at 1:30 p.m. at www.elon.edu/live.
Members of the Elon University community are encouraged to submit questions in advance of the town halls through a form available at www.elon.edu/live. Questions can also be submitted during the discussion.
President Book announced the series of town hall meetings in her video message to the community on Sept. 23. The discussions come as the university is responding to an increase in the number of positive COVID-19 cases among the university population and reacting to an un-permitted convoy that drove through campus with some participants yelling racist and sexist taunts from their vehicles.
The town hall meetings are designed to be general question-and-answer sessions about campus operations and activities, with members of senior staff prepared to answer a broad range of questions from students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni and other members of the Elon University community.
On Sept. 25, Provost Aswani Volety moderated a discussion with an initial focus on faculty and staff concerns.
On Oct. 2, Vice President for Student Life Jon Dooley will moderate the discussion with an initial focus on student concerns.
Recordings and overviews of the two previous sessions are available here.
On Oct. 9, President Connie Ledoux Book will moderate the discussion and address any concerns or questions raised by the Elon community.
