The Racial Equity & Interfaith Cooperation Award is part of the IYC's We Are Each Other's Campaign.
Allison Pelyhes, multifaith coordinator for the Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life, was awarded a $1,000 Racial Equity & Interfaith Cooperation Award from the Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC) as a part of their We Are Each Other’s Campaign.
Pelyhes, along with Kiah Glenn, assistant director of the Center for Race, Ethnicity, & Diversity Education, plan to use the grant funds to support in-depth, staff-led “Anti-racist Interfaith Leadership” workshops for students in partnership with the Center for Leadership as a “Leadershop” series and at the annual Ripple Interfaith Conference. They plan to train 50 Elon students in the “leadershop” offerings and 50 through conferences, yielding 100 students impacted at Elon and beyond.
