The head of development at FBE will be recognized for leadership in and contributions to the television industry during an Oct. 13 virtual ceremony.
Nneka Enurah ’11, head of development and partnerships for FBE, also known as Fine Brothers Entertainment, has been named the Elon University School of Communications alumna of the year. She will be presented the award during a virtual ceremony at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13. Alumni wishing to join the celebration should register via the university’s Homecoming page, while faculty, staff and students may sign up via a separate form.
“In just nine years, Nneka has progressed quickly in her career and continues to give back to students and fellow alumni with a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. We’re honored to award her as our alumna of the year,” said School of Communications Dean Rochelle Ford. “She represents the kind of alum we hope our School of Communications graduates – someone who is innovative, passionate and focused on the common good.”
Enurah, who graduated with a degree in media arts & entertainment, leads branded and premium content development and packaging for television and platforms for FBE. Prior to that, she was director of digital development and production at Emmy Award-winning actress Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, where she oversaw the production of social video and branded content for several corporate partners.
After the award presentation, Enurah will show a trailer for “Little Fires Everywhere,” a Hello Sunshine-produced hour-long drama, along with accompanying web-based content, all of which will be followed by a discussion about her work and career.
The 2014 Elon University Top 10 Under 10 Alumni award recipient also established Authentic Entertainment’s partnership division and also served as its vice president of multiplatform and partnerships. In 2018, she was honored by Cynopsis Media as a Top Woman in Digital and in 2017 as a member of the Digital It List, which recognizes the most innovative executives in digital media.
“I’m excited to recognize Nneka as our school’s alumna of the year,” said Colin Donohue, the School of Communications’ director of student engagement and alumni affairs. “I remember Nneka as a creative and thoughtful student, all qualities she’s carried successfully with her into her impressive career. She’s incredibly deserving of this award, and we look forward to celebrating her.”
