A fall induction ceremony hosted on Zoom honored twenty Martha and Spencer Love School of Business students.
Elon’s Lambda Xi chapter of Beta Alpha Psi (BAP), an international honor organization for financial information students and professionals, recognized 20 new members in a virtual induction ceremony on Sept. 22, 2020.
To become a member students are required to maintain a 3.0 GPA overall and a minimum of a 3.0 GPA in their most advanced accounting and finance classes. Students must also meet a service and attendance requirement at professional meetings. Each semester members of the Lambda Xi chapter must complete six hours of service within the fraternity and two hours outside the chapter.
Beta Alpha Psi meets weekly with guest speakers who inform the students about their industry or firm. Students have the opportunity to grow their professional networks and learn more about financial information professions by engaging with the speakers and asking potential career questions. Guest speakers in the past have included professionals from PwC, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, RSM, and FactSet.
