The road through the center of Elon's campus will be closed from 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, through 7 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5.
Members of the Elon University community are invited to participate in Hopes for the Future, a public art project on East Haggard Avenue designed to foster discussion following the 2020 Election.
East Haggard Avenue will be closed from North Williamson Avenue to North O’Kelly Avenue from 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, through 7 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5. Two large display boards will be erected with members of the campus community invited to write about their hopes for our collective future. There will also be the opportunity to write on the street itself.
The project is inspired by artist Candy Chang, who has created a number of participatory public art installations through which members of a community offer their thoughts and reflections for public display.
The Hopes for the Future: Public Art Project is just one event and resources for the Elon community following Tuesday’s election. A full list is available here.
