Elon Athletics has extensive measures in place to promote health and safety during the football season, which begins Feb. 20 at home versus Davidson College.

Elon Athletics has announced a plan for limited attendance for the 2021 Spring football season that begins Feb. 20 at home versus Davidson College.

Consistent with state and local guidelines, Elon will restrict attendance in Rhodes Stadium to 7 percent of the stadium’s seating capacity. A limited number of students, faculty and staff, players’ family, and season ticket holders will be allowed to attend. Available tickets will be allocated on a week-to-week basis through an online process described below.

Fans at Rhodes Stadium will enter via a digital or touchless ticketing process and will be seated in a socially distanced seating arrangement. All tickets will be Reserved with no General Admission seating. In addition, event safety protocols including structured line spacing, sanitization stations, enhanced cleaning, limited concessions and required masking in all locations will be enforced to help ensure the safety of ticketed guests. Tailgating and gatherings outside the stadium will be prohibited.

Parking will be free in all areas, with the Ingold lot allocated to prior pass holders and ticket purchasers as available. Guests are encouraged to park in the Hunt lots at Schar Center. Lots will open 90 minutes prior to kickoff.

Ticketing allocation process

Season ticket holders from the 2019 season will have the opportunity to purchase single-game tickets online on a first-come, first-served basis beginning the Sunday afternoon before each home game. Emails with links to purchase will be sent to season ticket holders prior to ticket sales being opened. These tickets will be able to be printed from home or sent to any digital wallet on your smart device. Any remaining tickets will be made available to Phoenix Club members and then the general public later in the week.

Student, faculty and staff tickets will be distributed through an online request process on a first-come, first-served basis with requests beginning Tuesday mornings at 9:40 a.m.

All Elon home games will be streamed through FloSports with select games available locally on My48.

A: Season ticket holders from the 2019 season may buy online Sunday through a link sent to their email account on record or by phone at 336.278.6750 beginning Monday morning. However, due to limited supply and likelihood of sellout, online purchases will have the best chance to obtain tickets.

A: No. All 2019 season ticket holders who would prefer to opt-out of the spring season will have the right of first refusal on their season ticket locations and numbers for the 2021 Fall season.

A: Digital tickets are paperless tickets that are sent via email and used on a smart device either as a PDF or directly from their Apple Wallet or Google Pay. These tickets initiate contactless entry and help reduce theft, shipping delays/loss and are easy to transfer to others via text. Elon is encouraging digital tickets for the 2021 Spring Football season for increased convenience, flexibility and safety.

A: All groups will be socially distanced in accordance with stadium best practices.

Q: What about parking?

A: Parking will be free this Spring in the Hunt A and B lots by Schar Center. The Ingold lot will be allocated to prior pass holders and ticket purchasers as available. Gates to parking lots will be opened 90 minutes before kickoff. Tailgating is prohibited this year. Tables, tents and cooking apparatus will not be allowed.

Q: When are the Elon games this spring?

A: The first two home games of the year are versus Davidson University on Feb. 20 and James Madison University on March 6, with kick-off at 1:30 p.m.. The games versus the University of Richmond on March 13 is slated for a 1 p.m. kick-off and William & Mary on April 3 will kick off at 4 p.m.
