The director of graduate programs in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, who graduated from the University of Arizona's Eller MBA program in 2009, was honored during the inaugural Eller MBA Women Who Shine event to celebrate outstanding female students and alumni from each of the five Eller MBA platforms.
Kristy Ruiz, director of graduate programs in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, received a Women Who Shine Guiding Light award from the University of Arizona’s Eller MBA program.
The inaugural Eller MBA Women Who Shine event celebrated outstanding female students and alumni from each of the five Eller MBA platforms.
Ruiz graduated from the Eller Evening MBA program in 2009.
She was selected among hundreds of nominations reviewed by the Women Who Shine committee. Nominees consisted of individuals who are highly engaged with the college and community, exceled academically and exemplify what it means to be a leader.
During a virtual ceremony on Feb. 5, Ruiz and five other Eller MBA alumnae and community members were recognized for leading with Eller Excellence, shining their light to empower others, and guiding future women business leaders.
Before joining Elon in 2018, Ruiz was the director of the student life center at the Wilson College of Textiles at N.C. State University. Prior to that position, she worked for the University of Arizona for nearly 12 years in roles including academic advisor, program manager, director of Eller Full-time MBA, and director of Eller Evening MBA.
