The 2021 Best-In-State Wealth Advisors list spotlights more than 5,000 advisors, nominated by their firms and then researched, interviewed and assigned a ranking by SHOOK Research.

The ranking is based on an algorithm of qualitative criteria, gained through telephone, virtual and in-person due diligence interviews, and quantitative data.

“Our Top Advisor and Top Women Advisor rankings are published annually, but they don’t tell the whole story, most of these advisors are concentrated around the bigger markets such as New York and San Francisco,” wrote R.J. Shook, senior contributor, in the Feb. 11 “Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors Methodology 2021” article. “We’ve uncovered great advisors in all markets – South Carolina, Oklahoma, and other states with smaller concentrations of wealth. It is our belief clients are oftentimes better served by local representation.”

Henkel graduated from Elon in 2003 with a degree in business administration. At Wells Fargo, he helps clients address their financial concerns and develop sound strategies by focusing on each individual’s specific needs and risk tolerance.

He also holds a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of Baltimore.
