Move-in day map shows the routes for new students to follow to campus, residence halls

A section of East Haggard Avenue that runs through campus will be closed for move-in traffic only from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 20. Read this note for a link to the Move-In Day map.

As Elon University prepares to welcome new and transfer students later this week, be aware that the activities of Move-In Day will impact traffic patterns.

For those traveling to campus for Move-In Day, please use the recommended routes as detailed in the Move-In Day map to make the day go as smoothly as possible. More information about Move-In Day is available here.

For students and their families, the first stop is at Schar Center for Check-In. After checking in, follow the routes on the Move-In Day map to your residence hall.

Please be advised that a section of East Haggard Avenue between North Williamson and North O’Kelly avenues will close on Friday, Aug. 20, from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. as first-year and transfer students move into residence halls.

Additionally, East Lebanon will be one-way eastbound from North Williamson Avenue to North Antioch Avenue. Antioch Avenue will be one-way from East Lebanon to East College Avenue.

Phoenix Drive will be one-way eastbound from North Williamson Avenue to the traffic circle at North O’Kelly Avenue.

Due to the logistics of Move-In Day, faculty and staff are asked to please park in the following areas:

  • The Oaks (parking for staff working at Schar Center Check-in)
  • Arts West
  • South Campus
  • Station at Mill Point

The Town of Elon, Elon University and the N.C. Department of Transportation remind motorists to watch signs for closure information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
