2021-22 Men’s basketball schedule
During a unique season that saw the cancellation of a handful of games due to COVID-19, the Elon men’s basketball team finished the regular season with a four-game winning streak and its first CAA Championship game appearance, which ended in a tough loss to Drexel University.
The Elon Men’s basketball team looks to build upon the success of last season as Coach Mike Schrage enters his third season in charge of the program.
The biggest matchup of the season will be a trip to Chapel Hill to face preseason ranked No. 13 North Carolina on Dec. 11. The Phoenix will also compete in the Charleston Classic, an opportunity to gauge themselves against top-25 programs early in the season.
“We will never shy away from playing high majors – they are the kind of games our guys want and deserve to play in and our staff always wants to be a part. Our schedule also includes some of the best mid-major programs in our area and in the Southeast,” Schrage said. “We are excited for the challenging schedule we have and understand the preparation it will take to be ready and be competitive. We can’t wait to have our students and fans back in Schar (Center) this season as well.”

The Phoenix start their journey against Big South champions High Point on Nov. 9. With a team of mostly upperclassmen, the Phoenix women should have the experience needed to succeed this season.
