Campus update: Answering COVID-19 questions

Five members of the Healthy Elon Committee have produced a video answering frequently asked questions regarding COVID-19.

Five members of the Healthy Elon committee address many questions related to Elon’s response to the pandemic this semester in a video released Sept. 22. The question-and-answer program is moderated by Jason Husser, associate professor of political science and policy studies, chair of Academic Council and a member of the Healthy Elon committee.

Topics in the video include:

  • An examination of the COVID-19 cases reported this semester
  • Elon’s approach to testing
  • Whether a faculty-staff vaccination requirement is being considered
  • The prospect for booster shots on campus
  • Academic policies and practices related to class absences
  • Elon’s indoor mask policy and the possibility of other restrictions
  • The Continuity of Work and Instruction policy for faculty and staff
  • The academic calendar for the remainder of the semester
  • Preparations for Family Weekend
  • Updates to Elon’s COVID-19 dashboard
