Students, faculty and staff will have a variety of opportunities to engage in service events both on campus and off.
The Kernodle Center for Civic Life will be hosting “Service Week” and organizing a variety of opportunities to engage on-campus and in the community starting on Oct. 25 and continuing throughout the week.

Monday, Oct. 25
Join a panel with Habitat for Humanity staff to learn more about their mission and affordable housing challenges and opportunities in Alamance County.

Tuesday, Oct. 26
Volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at a Halloween event for kids they support as part of their after-school program. Transportation will be provided! Spots are limited.

Habitat for Humanity Fundraiser Profit Share at MaGerk’s, located at 138 West Lebanon St. The fundraiser starts at 5 p.m. and make mention of wanting to contribute to Habitat for Humanity while getting dinner!
Wednesday, Oct. 27
Donate blood during the fall Blood Drive in partnership with the American Red Cross.

Thursday, Oct. 28
Stop by the Kernodle Center for Civic Life table on the first floor of the Moseley Center, near the Moseley Kitchen, and make dog treats from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m., which will be distributed to the Burlington Animal Shelter.

Volunteer with Burlington Housing Authority’s after-school program from 3-5:30pm at a Halloween event for kids they support as part of their after-school program. Transportation will be provided! Spots are limited.

Sunday, Oct. 31
Sign-up for our weekly shift at Loy Farm. Produce harvested from Loy Farm is used in during Campus Kitchen cooking shifts on Tuesday evenings. These meals are delivered to Allied Churches to support local food insecure individuals and families.
