#ElonHome 2021: Elon to welcome alumni, friends for a weekend of reunion and celebration

Elon University looks forward to welcoming alumni back to campus for Homecoming & Reunion Weekend Nov. 5-7.

The whole of the Elon community — alumni of all generations, current students, faculty, staff, local fans and friends of Elon — will join together as the university celebrates Homecoming & Reunion Weekend 2021.

Returning alumni should register by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27, to make sure they don’t miss out on any of the exciting events and celebrations planned for Homecoming & Reunion Weekend, which will be held Nov. 5-7. All attendees can stop by the Martin Alumni Center during Homecoming Weekend to pick up their free T-shirt while supplies last.

The majority of Homecoming 2020 events were held virtually, so the Elon faithful are eager to return to the campus and community they greatly cherish. A variety of activities and celebrations will be taking place, including the Rock the Block community party, the Distinguished Alumni Awards Ceremony, the gathering of the classes of 1970 and 1971 for the Golden Alumni medallion ceremony. With dozens of events across the three days, there will be something for everyone.

The centerpiece event of the weekend will be the chance to cheer on the Phoenix as Elon Football looks to extend its three-game winning streak as they take on the Villanova Wildcats at Rhodes Stadium at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

To ensure a healthy and safe environment, the university’s indoor mask requirement remains in effect during Homecoming weekend. All students, employees and visitors must wear masks in indoor campus spaces (except when alone in a private office, in a residence hall/apartment room or while eating or drinking). Masks will be required for all indoor events.

Throughout the weekend, all alumni, students and employees are also encouraged to have a mask handy for outdoor events with large crowds, and where social distancing is not possible.

Haggard Avenue will be closed to non-emergency vehicle traffic from 3 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5 between North O’Kelly Avenue and Williamson Avenue.

Below are select events taking place during Homecoming. All festivities and additional details about the weekend can be found on the Homecoming & Reunion Weekend 2021 website.
