Holocaust survivor and Elon grandparent Nathan Spiewak will be visiting Elon on March 30 at McKinnon Hall.
Nathan Spiewak was a child when the Nazis invaded and occupied France. Not long thereafter, roundups of French Jews began, and he and his family were interned in the infamous Velodrome D’Hiver in dire and inhumane conditions.
After miraculously leaving the Vel D’Hiv, young Nathan was on the run fighting for his life.
Spiewak, a proud Elon grandparent of Adina Speak ’24, will be sharing his memories with the Elon community on March 30 at 5 p.m. in McKinnon Hall in the Moseley Center.
The event is made possible by: Chabad Elon, Elon Core Curriculum, Dept. of Political Science, Elon Hillel, Office of Cultural and Special Programs, Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life.
