Professor of Mathematics Jeff Clark attended the 2022 meeting of the Southeastern Section of the Mathematical Association of America at Berry College, where he presented a talk on “Wordle and Entropy.” He discussed the concept of entropy as the average amount of information expected from a query, using the popular puzzle Wordle as an example.
While at the meeting he watched Applied Mathematics major and Lumen scholar Amy Moore ’22 present a poster on the mathematics of gerrymandering, working under the supervision of Professor Todd Lee.
