Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates, which was established in 1940, is one of the oldest and largest private neurosurgical practices in the country. Our group includes 48 board-certified or board-eligible physicians in the specialty areas of neurosurgery, physical medicine & rehabilitation (physiatry), orthopaedic spine surgery, Neurology and pain management. We provide advanced surgical and nonsurgical treatment for the entire spectrum of brain, spine, and peripheral nerve disorders, including brain tumors, spine injuries, stroke, epilepsy, birth defects, concussions, neck and lower back pain, and pituitary tumors.

Successful candidates are:

  • Versed and skilled in musculoskeletal and neuromuscular evaluation, dysfunction, treatment and diagnosis
  • Skilled and knowledgeable in pre/post op outpatient spine care, therapeutic exercise, manual techniques and outpatient spine protocols

Responsibilities include:

  • Works to improve patient’s current status for a return to work or previous/desired lifestyle or sport
  • Works to restore, maintain and promote patient’s overall fitness and health
  • Works with our in house health care team consisting of Neurosurgeons, Physiatrists, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and our Imaging team
  • Communicates with the referring physicians and families, front desk staff, and our healthcare team on a daily basis
  • Educates patients how to perform exercises with equipment such as pulleys, bands, weights and bikes/treadmills
  • Keeps records and progress notes electronically of patient’s assessment, plan of care, and discharge reports.
  • Applies our values in decision-making and interactions with all individuals.
  • Promotes a positive work environment through effective teamwork.

    Required:  Advanced Degree – Masters or Doctorate in PT from accredited program. 
    South Carolina and North Carolina licenses required.
