Campus safety and services during Fall Break
As we prepare for Fall Break this week, university offices on main campus will be closed this Friday, October 14. Elon School of Law continues regular operations.
Information was shared with the university community Monday about campus safety and services during Fall Break.
Asymptomatic testing will be available in McCoy Commons 207 (Oaks Neighborhood) during regular hours (9 a.m. – noon and 1 – 4 p.m.) through Thursday, October 13. No testing will be offered Friday, October 14. Details about diagnostic testing (for those who are experiencing symptoms) and other testing resources are available on the COVID-19 page of the Campus Health Status & Alerts website.
Student Health Services will maintain weekend hours through the break. The no-cost virtual medical and mental health care services through TimelyCare remain available to students 24/7, anywhere you are in the United States.
Get your flu shot!
If you have not already done so, now is the time to get your annual flu shot. The first confirmed case of the flu on campus was diagnosed at Student Health Services last week, and experts predict this could be a challenging flu season.
Fall Break can be a good time to get your flu and COVID-19 booster. Upcoming clinics on-campus after the break will enable students, faculty, and staff to receive the flu shot, COVID-19 booster, or both at the same time.
Community health status update
Each Tuesday afternoon by 4 p.m., the university COVID-19 webpage is updated with information about the status of COVID-19 in our community. The site also includes a link to the latest information about the CDC COVID-19 community levels, which are currently at medium in Alamance County and low in Guilford County.
Our next Community Health Update will be next Wednesday, October 19, by 10:45 a.m.
