Associate Professor of Political Science and Policy Studies Jason Husser was featured in a report from WFMY News 2 on recent rulings from the North Carolina Supreme Court.
The North Carolina Supreme Court rejected district lines for the state senate and sent back a voter-approved ID law on Friday, December 16. Husser, who is also the director of the Elon Poll, told reporter Grace Holland that even after the rulings neither of the issues would be going away.
“These fights matter in terms of substantive outcome and they also matter symbolically to people a lot because how elections a lot it’s pretty fundamental to how democracy works,” Husser said.
