On Friday, March 24 at 3:30 p.m., Elonthon will host an on-campus yoga event at Koury West Lawn. The cost for attendance is a $10 direction donation to Duke Children’s Hospital. Attendees must bring their own yoga mat to participate.
Elonthon Dance Marathon is a 13.1-hour dance marathon benefiting Duke Children’s Hospital and Health Center. Elonthon began in 2003 by a very passionate and service-minded group of students from Elon University in North Carolina celebrating an amazing young boy in then local area. These students were interested in making an emotional and financial impact on the patients and families of Duke Children’s Hospital.
Since it began in 2003, Elonthon has raised more than $2 million as members of the Elon community have participated for six, seven or 13 hours while being able to hear the incredible stories of strength from nearly 30 “miracle children.”
This year, Elonthon is on Saturday, April 1.
