An Oct. 4 article features Tourek's short film in the works, "8 A.M."
A new film in the works from Michael Tourek, adjunct assistant professor of performing arts, was featured in a recent article from Yes! Weekly.
Tourek wrote and will star in “8 A.M.,” a short film which will be shot in Greensboro.
“Despite being inspired by a specific friend, 8 A.M. is what I call an Every Person story,” Tourek said. “It’s about a poet who has always put his art second to the need to make a living until he faces life-changing adversity and rediscovers the beauty and poetry of the everyday world around him. It’s about balancing family, career, dreams, and the sacrifices we make to keep that balance.”
