The Local Vibe, a morning news segment, visited Elon during College Coffee leading up to Homecoming & Reunion Weekend at the university.
WXII recently highlighted the celebratory spirit on campus leading up to Homecoming & Reunion Weekend on The Local Vibe, a morning news segment.
Elon alumna Jackie Pascale ’18, a journalist with WXII, visited campus on Tuesday, Oct. 17, during a special Homecoming week College Coffee at the Moseley Center to share with viewers how Elon was gearing up for the annual celebration.
Pascale talked with Megan Gregg ’11, senior development research analyst in the Office of University Advancement about what the week had in store for alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends.
“There’s going to be something for everybody,” Gregg said, sharing about the Rock the Block celebration on Friday night and a full array of activities on Saturday.
Gregg shared that the weekend is also an opportunity to celebrate reunions for multiple Elon classes. “It’s so important for us to stay connected to our alumni,” Gregg said. “You get to some back and see how your school is growing. … It’s a great chance for people to come back and show their loved ones this place that is so special to them.”
Pascale also talked with Josh Tobin ’26, vice president of the Student Union Board, who shared about what Homecoming means to current students. “It’s really nice to meet all the people coming back and to meet the people who were in organizations I’m in,” Tobin said.
