The Alumni Bridges Program is specifically designed for recent Elon graduates who are interested in moving to Charlotte, N.C., or Los Angeles to begin their careers. The program can help make the transition from college to career a smooth one.
The Elon Alumni Bridges program was created over a decade ago to help recent graduates with their transition to life after Elon. The program, which started in Los Angeles, has just expanded to include Charlotte as the university’s new campus in the Queen City continues to grow. There are many unique features of the program.
Graduates participating will:
- Live in apartment-style housing in their own room.
- Participate in a week-long intensive bootcamp focused on job search strategies, personal finance skills, relocation and neighborhood information and alumni and professional networking.
- Connect with alumni mentors who can ease the personal and professional transition to life in a new city.
- Have individual, virtual career advising appointments with Elon Student Professional Development Center staff to assist with the job search once the bootcamp has ended.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Elon alumni who are 26 years old or younger.
- New arrivals to either Charlotte or Los Angeles.
- Participants must schedule a meeting with the Student Professional Development Center before the start of the program to create and/or update the resume you will use for your job search.
Listen to testimonials from former participants. More information including costs and the deadline to apply can be found on the Alumni Bridges website.
