The higher education guidebook, now in its fifth edition, looked at a variety of factors in determining its list of the top 200 colleges and universities.
Elon University has again been named one of the top “Colleges Worth Your Money” by College Transitions, an online source for higher education data and admissions advice that had more than 10 million annual readers.
Elon was among the 200 colleges and universities selected for the outlet’s “Colleges Worth Your Money” publication, now in its fifth edition. The guidebook includes six statistically rich narrative sections on each school along with two tables full of data points. Elon was recognized for “its quality undergraduate teaching, experiential learning opportunities, and unparalleled study abroad program,” with the guidebook noting that “Individualized attention is available at every turn,” particularly from the well-staffed and highly effective Student Professional Development Center.
Each college profile contains more than data points, including admission stats, salary and ROI figures, information on companies that recruit on campus and where students land internships and jobs. The profile of Elon noted its 11:1 student-to-faculty ratio and small average class size as well as the large proportion of students who study abroad — more than 75 percent. The guidebook pointed to the successful outcomes of Elon graduates, with 96 percent of the Class of 2022 finding employment, a graduate school or an internship within nine months of graduating and 94 percent reporting that their job directly relates to their area of study.
Elon has been included in the “Colleges Worth Your Money” each year since the guidebook was first published in 2001. Learn more about Elon’s rankings and recognitions.
