Stephen A. Futrell publishes editions of choral music

Elon Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities Stephen Futrell produced modern editions of three pieces by Russian composer Anton Arensky (1861-1906). Arensky’s “Three Quartets, Opus 57”, are written for SATB chorus with solo cello. Futrell’s editions contain Russian transliteration as well as English translation and are published through National Music Publishers, California, as part of the Gregory Gentry Choral Series and will be performed this fall with the Texas Jr. College All State. Choir under the direction of Gregory Gentry.
