Lecturer in economics Devon Hawkins spoke with USA TODAY about what makes some North Carolina cities desirable for those moving to the state.
Devon Hawkins, lecturer in economics at Elon, was recently quoted in a USA TODAY story focusing on the best cities to move to in North Carolina.
The top five cities include Cary, Mooresville, Burlington, Concord and Chapel Hill, based on a study from the USA TODAY Homefront team. One of the reasons for Cary’s placement on the list is its proximity to Raleigh and top employers.
“The SAS Institute is based out of Cary and is consistently ranked as one of the top workplaces in the U.S. for diversity and inclusivity, innovation and for giving back,” said Hawkins.
