We have a busy week ahead. In addition to the many events listed below, the Jewish High Holy Days begin this week, with the two-day celebration of Rosh Hashanah beginning on Wednesday at sundown.

Elections events this week
There are four Election 2024 events this week. In addition, make sure you’ve got your plan in place to register to vote this fall. Visit the Elon Votes! website for more information about voter registration and upcoming civic engagement opportunities.
ABSS Board of Education Candidate Forum
Monday, Sept. 30, 7 p.m., Paramount Theater, 128 E. Front St., Burlington
Local elections shape our community’s future – join a forum with the candidates for the Alamance Burlington School System Board of Education to hear their positions on key issues. Sponsored by Elon University, Impact Alamance, and the Alamance Chamber of Commerce, with support from Elon News Network and the City of Burlington. Bus transportation to the Paramount Theater will depart from the Center for the Arts at 6:30 p.m.
Alumni Voices: Conversations with Political Insiders on the 2024 Elections
Tuesday, Oct. 1, 6 p.m., KOBC Room 101
Austin Moore serves as the deputy field director for Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell’s campaign. She focuses on campaign strategy and community engagement. Moore was a field organizer on Governor Maura Healey’s 2022 election campaign, as well as advance manager and traveling aide to Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll.
Alamance County Commissioner Candidate Forum

Join fellow Elon students to view the debate between Governor Tim Walz and Senator JD Vance and learn more about these vice-presidential nominees. Sponsored by ElonVotes!, the Kernodle Center for Civic Life and other campus civic engagement groups.
Elon Majors Fair
Tuesday, Octo=. 1, 2024, 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., Young Commons
Connect with advisors and faculty to learn more about academic programs and explore the many majors and minors Elon offers. Be one of the first 50 students to sign in and enter a drawing for a chance to win one of four $25 gift cards to downtown Elon restaurants! Light refreshments will be provided! Food Truck Frenzy
Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024, 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Koury Athletics West Lawn
Get ready for Food Truck Frenzy at the Koury Center parking lot! Hosted by Elon Dining and the Student Union Board, this event features 10 local food trucks, live music, and plenty of fun. Pre-buy tickets at dining halls to beat the lines, or grab them at the event. Meal Dollars, Phoenix Cash, and credit cards are accepted—don’t miss out on this tasty experience!
Celebrate SAIL Week with the Center for Leadership

Vaccine Clinics
Campus Recreation and Wellness will be hosting several Flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinics. Pending availability, walk-ins are accepted for flu vaccines, but appointments are required for the COVID booster. Please bring your insurance card and registration paperwork with you.
Students who have scheduled medical appointments at Student Health Services will also have the opportunity to receive flu vaccines at the time of their appointment. Ask your medical provider about receiving a flu vaccine. Visit the Campus Recreation and Wellness website for more information on flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinics.
