Following a successful September, we look ahead to October in Elon Athletics.
It has been a tremendous September for your Elon Phoenix! Two teams earned national top 25 rankings during the month with our men’s and women’s soccer teams combining to go 15-1-1 as of Sept. 30. Both teams sit atop the conference standings and are positioning themselves as favorites.
The women’s cross country team, winners of five straight CAA championships, is positioned to once again compete for a league title and October will be a key month as they prepare to host the CAA Championships on Nov. 1.
The Elon Athletics Department will spend the month of October preparing for the start of basketball season as Elon women’s basketball opens the regular season at home on Nov. 4 against local rival High Point. The men’s basketball team will open the regular season that same night in Chapel Hill against the Tar Heels.
