The Feature Phoenix video series offers a new way to learn about how Elon’s organizations and clubs reflect the university's approach to inclusive excellence.
The Feature Phoenix series is a way for all students to learn about student organizations and clubs and how they are being inclusive on campus. Episode ten introduces Anne Sophie Hill ’24, who serves as vice president of the Renegade Productions.
Renegade Productions strives to expose students to alternative methods of theatrical production, design and performance at Elon University. The organization wants to foster a nurturing space for all students, whether they are performers or not. All majors and minors are welcome and all acting skill levels.
In the video, Hill shared the goals of Renegade Productions and how the organization works toward promoting inclusive excellence.
“I think sometimes performing arts, especially when we have top notch programs, can get high stakes,” said Hill. “To be able to create an environment where students may not want to do this professionally but still want to participate is meaningful.”
Renegade promotes and enacts the production of student directed and/or devised theatre. They have two performances coming up for the Fall semester.
