Elon University's 12th annual Elon Day, a day of giving, returns with several events inviting the community to celebrate their love for Elon University and give from the heart.
On Thursday, March 6, the global Elon University community will once again celebrate Elon Day, an annual day of giving that inspires thousands of donors to support students and show their pride in the university. Over the years, Elon Day donors have made gifts to funds across campus, including scholarships, academic schools, athletics, student organizations and more. Since Elon Day began in 2014, donors have contributed a collective 51,000 gifts and $21 million in honor of the day.
Elon Day will also feature exciting matches, challenges and “Bonus Bucks” to help further donor impact throughout the day. Be sure to keep an eye on the Elon Day website to view the latest information.
Those who want to get involved with Elon Day and contribute in another meaningful way can sign up as Elon Day Champions and Amplifiers. These groups play a huge role in making the day a success by rallying their networks to give and spreading the word about exciting giving incentives.
On campus and across the country, events will celebrate the day’s focus of philanthropy and school spirit. New this year, the Fac/Staff Lounge will bring Elon’s faculty and staff to Young Commons for soda floats, outdoor lounge furniture, swag and a chance to enter to win a free vacation day when they make a gift.
For alumni, there will be Elon Day events taking place across the country (and in London) to celebrate this day of giving in their cities. To see if your city is hosting an Elon Day event this year, click here and scroll down to the “Alumni Events” section.
