Looking forward to a great week Phoenix, with Spring Break in our sights! But a lot is happening on campus before then – here are your “Phoenix Five” tips for the week ahead:
SGA and Senior Speaker Voting Monday and Tuesday
Monday, March 10, 8 a.m. – Tuesday, March 11, 5 p.m., PhoenixCONNECT
Voting for Student Government Association officers and senators will be held online Monday and Tuesday. In addition to the SGA election, the ballot also includes the semi-finalists for Senior Speaker; graduating seniors can vote for up to three. Results will be announced Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. on Medallion Plaza.
Better Together: Breaking Bread, Building Bridges
Every other Thursday until May 8, 12:45-1:45 p.m., Lakeside Long Table

In a world that can feel disconnected, Better Together creates space to share personal stories, explore diverse beliefs, ideas, and worldviews, and build community. Vernice FlyGirl Armour, “Harness a Breakthrough Mindset”

In this year’s Baird Lecture, Vernice Armour will recount her response to professional obstacles, adversity, and disappointment in her pioneering journey from motorcycle cop to the Marines to becoming America’s first Black female combat pilot. The author of Zero to Breakthrough: The 7-Step, Battle-Tested Method for Accomplishing Goals that Matter, Armour launched VAI Consulting and Training LLC after she completed two tours in Iraq.
