As we move into the month of April, spring sports season is here. Be sure to check out the Phoenix Athletics calendar for opportunities to cheer on your classmates. Eid al-Fitr: The Holiday of Breaking the Fast

Wednesday, April 2, 5:30 p.m., McBride Gathering Space.

After fasting for the month of Ramadan, Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr, “The Holiday of Breaking the Fast.” Join the Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life as the Elon community celebrates Eid al-Fitr with food, festivities and fellowship. There will be fun trivia, a henna station and opportunities to learn and celebrate as a community. RSVP online.

Asian & Pacific Islander Heritage Month

Kickoff Event, Thursday, April 3, 5:30-7 p.m., Medallion Plaza

The annual Asian & Pacific Islander Heritage Month celebration takes place throughout the month of April. The theme for 2025’s API Heritage Month is “Bouquets,” which will focus on how the rich and diverse API communities have come together in the pursuit of something stronger.  Learn more about the month’s events on the CREDE website.

And be sure to check out the API Heritage Month Kickoff Event, Thursday, April 3, at 5:30 p.m. on Medallion Plaza. The celebration will feature different foods, cultural performances, local businesses and engaging activities that highlight the contributions and traditions of API communities.

Stargazing for Mental Health

Grab your blanket and join the Astronomy Club, the Office of Sustainability, Counseling Services, and the Historic and Danieley Center Neighborhoods as we engage in nature in a unique and memorable way through exploration of the night sky. Register online.
